Frequently Asked Questions

Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions. For information on prepping your top and backing see my Quilt Prep page.

  • How do I get my project started?

  • What if I don't see a design I like/want in your library?

    • I have several preferred sites for digital designs. If a new design needs to be purchased for your project, I typically split the cost with you.

  • How does mail-in service work?

    • You ship your top to me. Once I've completed the quilting, I ship back to you at your expense. I use either UPS or USPS. I will pick the most economical method unless you specify one over the other.

  • What is your typical turnaround time?
    • 1-2 weeks once I receive your quilt.
      • Note, if there are any special orders (such as a specific batting) or any issues (such as the backing not being 8" longer and wider than the top), the timeline could be extended.
  • Do you have a minimum charge?
    • Yes, I have a $50 minimum for edge-to-edge quilting. This does not include batting. You can send several smaller items that go on the same backing to reach the $50.
  • Do you do custom quilting?

    • Not at this time

  • Do you provide binding services?

    • Not at this time

  • Do you trim quilts after quilting?

    • No I don't. Unfortunately I do not have the space to trim your quilt.

  • When is payment due?

    • Once quilting is finished, prior to pickup or return shipping.

  • What payment options do you offer?

    • Cash (local pickup only)

    • Zelle

    • Debit and Credit Cards

    • PayPal

    • ACH Bank Transfers

  • Do you charge sales tax?

    • If picked up from or shipped to an address within the state of Tennessee, I am required by law to collect sales tax on services provided and goods sold.

    • If shipped to an address outside of Tennessee, then I do not charge sales tax.
