About
Hi! I'm Amanda.
Maker by nature, aircraft engineer by degree. 😃
I think this mix of creative and technical are the perfect combination for me as a longarm quilter. On the creative side I can see the possibilities of design and color. On the technical side, I'm at home with the mechanics and software of the longarm machine.

My Story
My grandmother was a seamstress, my mom was an artist, my aunt was a maker and my dad was a tinkerer who could fix anything. These are the people who had the most influence on me throughout my life.
Being that my mom was an artist, it's not surprising that I always had art supplies. I loved making things more than drawing or painting though. I was always doing needlepoint or rug hooking or potholder weaving as a kid. I have dabbled in just about every creative medium I could get my hands on. I found my passions in all things fiber and fabric. In addition to sewing and quilting, I'm also an avid knitter and spinner.
My first creative business was sewing custom, high-end pillows and bedding for interior designers in the mid-2000's. This is where I first learned about longarm quilting. I was intrigued at that time, and now I'm rather obsessed!
